I know I've done my job well, I even check my work over, yet the next morning the first person who arrives says I didn't do a good job because some sort of mess has appeared on the floor overnight with nobody there. Now it looks bad on me. I tried explaining myself but it looks like I'm just making excuses, but really I'm not. I know I know I done a good job but I want other people to know too, especially my boss. Otherwise it just feels fruitless. I prefer to be praised, not faulted. Now I'm trying to look for evidence to prove that I did not make the mess that mysteriously appeared on the floor where I had been cleaning.

Either my workplace has a ghost or somebody is trying to set me up.

If that was happening to me I'd take a picture of my work as proof

Yeah that's what I'm going to start doing in future.

Good idea that

It must be really frustrating for you actually

Cleaners do a really good job and they go unnoticed most of the time so you'd think your manager would appreciate you at least

It was just I know I mopped the whole of the floor until it was shiny, and then we were the last to leave so we locked up after I had finished, and nobody had any reason to go where I had cleaned and make a mess anyway.
Then the bloke who was the first one in this morning saw the mess there on the floor, right when I remember mopping. The mess looked like bits of powdery swarf, very easy to be mopped up with a mop, which I know I had done. So how it just got there between when we all left last night to when the bloke in the morning first unlocked the workshop, I'll never know.

It looks like I'm not taking responsibility for my mistakes or something, as due to past bullying that went on there my reputation isn't at its best, so it just looks like I'm a lazy idiot who can't do anything right, and it frustrates me.
