To say that it's been a really difficult time wouldn't do it any justice

I just think people should be able to talk about this because talking about it could save lives

Bless you. I hope you're feeling better and getting the help you need. You can talk here any time.

Thank you

Its probably my imagination that pulls me through it.

There's just too much injustice in the world and I saw something online and that was it. I just thought that if people treat people that way when they're asking for help then there's not very much hope left

I feel like I'm standing at the end of civilization most of the time and all I can see is fire and death

I think people need a safe space where they can express the hopelessness they feel about life

I mean there's a lot of cynicism out there about this kind of thing but I'd say that's part of the problem as to why people don't want to talk about it

Plus it is an incredibly difficult thing to talk about because nothing anyone can say can really change it

It doesn't help when people online criticise you for having feelings about certain things in your life. If they have nothing helpful to offer then they shouldn't reply at all. I got personally attacked just out of the blue on another site and the mods took their side and told me to be more empathetic to them because they had no hot water. Yes, having no hot water sucks, but it's still no excuse to randomly attack people unprovoked on a forum. I wasn't even posting anything triggering, just a beautiful photo of a sunset, yet they set upon me.

I'm glad to be away from that s**thole now.

I'm feeling the same way, I've struggled with these thoughts since I was 14 when I received my autism diagnosis.
The way I often feel was quoted beautifully by John Coffey in The Green Mile.

"I want it over and done. I do. I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time."

If even a wretched person like me can see through the dark then there surely should be hope for everyone else
