I don't know why, but probably I give off special need vibes. It's very annoying because i'm smarter than all of them

Sometimes I get the sense that people feel sorry for me. Like I imagine they think poor guy can barely function socially. Sometimes I don't perform optimally at navigating social scenarios, it's true.

But there's nothing shameful about having special needs. So if they're judging you for that it reflects an ignorant mindset that they possess. And if you're intelligent, you can use your intelligence to do smart things to help you build a nice life.

It can be very annoying to be underestimated. I definitely understand that feeling. Sometimes people can't see the value in your ideas right away, they have to get to a place where they can see it for themselves.

I understand, I can come across a bit shy which can make other women speak in a slightly higher register sometimes. I got flustered asking a receptionist to help me with a predicament a few weeks back and her voice went a bit soft and she asked I wanted to take a breather in another room  . I hate feeling pitied because it opens up some old wounds. I wish I had advice on it other than just accepting that sometimes people pick up on vibes. It's no negative reflection on you.
