I feel like overgrown child because I won't drink the tea I've made from a Tetley tea bag because they are not plastic free and got myself worked up before about it because I remember finding out that tea can contain heavy metals like lead. We did have plastic free clipper tea bags but now we just have Tetley because my nan drinks it.

I feel like bursting my eyes out because I've had a busy day, been overthinking about stuff and now I this. It's just pathetic. Sick of anxiety getting in the way not to do, eat or drink something because it might kill me. I remember I used be afraid of drinking from the house tap because of lead poisoning despite living in a country with clean drinking water.

Chef Craft Stainless Steel Snap Mesh Ball Tea Infuser - Loose Leaf Tea Filter Strainer with Handle
I put looseleaf tea in a mesh ball to make tea a decade ago.

Then I bought a fully automatic tea maker that lasted for about five years before it broke and couldn't be fixed.

I now use a tea kettle that requires I pour out the tea after the timer goes off.

I buy 1 pound bags of looseleaf tea.

Unfiltered water spooks me too.. pretty badly .Even went out of my way to double filter my water, Am a coffee drinker.
Fresh grind my own beans . Found myself a old coffee bean grinder. At a second hand store . And a ceramic paper filter holder .. Am preferring the brown filters. Tastes very reasonable , Sorry , I am not prone to believe about water quality levels published by businesses engaged in Gov . Water supplies . And I have read many water quality reports put out by the water companies where I have lived . Imagine after reading water quality reports ,seeing that there are acceptable
Arsenic levels in their water supply. 8O and other things similiar to that . No Thank you . But have also read that some well waters ,even have arsenic levels ?? Go figure ? 8O .... Actually got so carried away, that I drank distilled water only for over a year. . Then had to learn which types of plastics do not break down as readily. as others . Like hard polycarbonates . Then often if the plastic does not see high temperatures. They do not break down as readily .Might takes some time and read about types of plastics, Especially food grade types . Some can even resist acids.
But am normally trusting glass containers most of all. Careful of leaded glass containers Used to be quite abit that came over from China long ago. Lots of hype going on about plastics lately. My dream water filter system is a Reverse Osmosis type :ninja: . but lots of money for that .(Just a Thought offering)

I don't give a toss about stuff like that. Just use tap water and Yorkshire tea bags.

Yea, sorry about that post. It was a bit insensitive and not really in the spirit of the haven. I was tired and had drunk too much.

To be be fair though, there should be a law against making a cup of tea and not drinking it

When my ex used to leave the dregs I could feel myself dying inside

Since every single thing I eat and drink is killing me I might as well eat whatever I want. I'm lucky to even be able to afford food in this day and age because of Dictator Rancidvomitpusbag.
