I've been accused today of being high by the security guard guy at my collage for acting with a mix of aspie traits (not talking normally and not walking "right". Ive also been sick with a temperature which doesn't help things either. I'm just ticked because i know as a fact I'm clean.

Just wave it off as a joke - or say you aren't feeling good.

Kinda funny, whenever I'm tired my friends joke I must be high or something.
I was nearly asleep in one of my classes once (fell asleep later - thank god that teacher never notices - I think he's asleep half the time to) and leaned back in my desk, and nearly burst out laughing because my pencil rolled towards me because the desk was slanted toward me. Just seemed so comical at the time for some reason. :P Friend asked me if I was on anything jokingly.

Honestly it normally wouldn't have bothered me but I've been sick and miserable the last 2 weeks so my nerves are shot, so it upset me more then usual. I'll be over it by tomorrow I imagine, now pass the tissues.

Hahaha, people used to always think I was constantly high.
Maybe its my long hair, or because my eyes are never fully open, I seem drowsy all the time and talk like a weirdo, I pretty much fit the stereotypical stoner profile all the way. But I dont drink or smoke or do any drugs, never have my whole life, and I seem to be the only one!

Sorry to hear about this - it is frustrating that people can be so judgemental when actually the truth is that they just don't (or won't) understand.

I've been accused of this too. I have problems with proprioception and judging distances, and whenever I tripped or lost my balance my Mother would say "ARE YOU DRUNK??? ARE YOU ON DRUGS???" er no, just aspie!

I also go a little 'odd' when I'm tired. It's like my 'filter' that helps me to suppress the less discreet of my AS traits during the day, switches off when I'm really tired, so I can get quite hyper and manic, and sometimes people around me find it difficult to interpret why I'm behaving like this. I do always try to explain it though.

I hope you feel better soon.
