Apparently my rats have fleas and they gave them to me. I found that somewhat humorous so I thought I'd share. I hope this doesn't mean I'll have to shave my head.

We used to have two pet ratties. not sure that they ever had fleas. wonder if they could have kitten Frontline? ferrets can.

When I already had three cats and a dog, I took in a homeless kitten that had fleas. So, (of course) we all had fleas and were miserable.
Frontline is kind of scary though- definitely check with a reputable vet before exposing your babies to any kind of chemicals.

A bath in dishwashing liquids, like Dawn or Sun can help too.

I'm told flea shampoo for kittens is supposed to work, the hard part is bathing a rat because they hate water worse then cats and have some nasty teeth on them.

And yeah they're my pets I let em run around my room during the day sometimes.

Owch that really sucks man. I was over someones house and I got (I think fleas) from sitting on a couch, could have been bedbugs or something though. It took two showers to get rid of them and it hurts like a b***h when they bite you
