Antidepressants reacting with each other?

I joined a study where they give a third of the people a new drug, a third paroxetine (Paxil) and a third a placebo. I think they'll let me stay on the Celexa. They HAVE to let us stay on our antidepressants. She said there's a list of drugs we can and can't take while doing this. Does anyone know how Paxil reacts with Celexa (citalopram)?

I'm sure there are people here with experience of the meds you mention but as far as I know there isn't anyone here who is medically trained. Personal experiences, reactions and opinions can vary greatly from person to person and what you're asking requires medical knowledge.

nothing to indicate there is an incompatibility between the two drugs, make sure the people who are giving you the other stuff know you are on celexa, pharmacists are also good to talk to

on a side note, get off celexa, it's worthless

Celexa is not that bad, but it's not fun to come off of it. When I withdrew from celexa, I* started seeing stuff and my mood went down the toilet.

Paxil is the one you wanna stay away from. I thought they stopped giving that garbage out to people.
