I fel so humiliated. I missed two appointments in a row. If he starts treating me like a scatterbrained idiot or a buffoon or a simpleminded ignoramus or whatever I just might walk into the subway tunnel. f**k.

Oh, f**k, that's bad. My psychologist is a nice guy. But even he may get impatient with me! What if he just thinks, "I thought she was bright but apparently she isn't. Or maybe she's doing this for the attention. Oh well, it's not her fault, she's mentally challenged."

I hate feeling that way. I know exactly why it makes me feel like killing myself, too. It's because once someone marks me as a dumbass, it is party time. I don't understand the mentalities of the people who would surround another person and taunt her or otherwise ill use her.

The worst thing is he doesn't think I have ADD. And I'm on 40mg of Celexa so I guess I can't use depression or anxiety as an excuse either. I guess I'm just a scatterbrained idiot in his book!

Hey, I've done exactly the same thing. You're not stupid, you're autistic. We get executive functioning problems too. Your depression wouldn't help things, either. If your psychologist is worth anything, he'll know these things AND know not to treat you like you're stupid.

You really are not going to get anywhere in life if you carry on like that.

Now you? I'm at risk of people treating me like I'm scatterbrained and now you say I'm not going anywhere? I don't believe I'm scatterbrained... if anyone says anything negative about me I just explode; I'm at the end of my rope.

Well, life is going to be a bunch of people yelling negative things at you. College is going to be nothing but negative things thrown at you. Get used to it. Missing appointments is not going to get you anywhere.

I didn't miss it on PURPOSE! I missed it by ACCIDENT and I really wanted to go to see him and talk to him but now that I missed them I was afraid that people would THINK I was hopeless.

Pay attention. :?

You don't need to ADD to the negativity, Kalister. I give you points for honesty though.

Intent has no bearing on the outcome, a coward isn't judged by his inner cowardice, but by his cowardly actions.

Im not adding to the negativity, I'm being the most helpful. Someone gave me this same advice a long time ago, and now Im giving it to you. I've seen enough really smart people throw their life down the tube by being late. I met the most brilliant drop out a few months ago, and he was constantly late, and lazy. Its his downfall, and the reason he had to drop out of UCLA.

Thanks for rubbing it in. But you're a good honest lad. I'm sure your mother is proud of you. :)
