I don't know what's up, but normally I have no difficulty sleeping. I would say that, historically speaking, I always get to bed quickly.

Not that this is a huge deal or anything, but in the past month I haven't been able to get to bed immediately. It just feels different then not being able to sleep. It isn't a regular not being able to.

My mind is racing, a slight knot in my stomach, and it feels like my pulse is around 100 (/min). It's calmed down a bit now since I got out of bed, but it's like I can feel each pulse going through my whole body, just pissing me off.

I don't think I'm worried about anything in particular, I just feel like it's an anxiety thing. I think. I have no idea.

Last time this happened, I just went on my computer for an hour, checked out a couple of things on WP, blah blah blah, adult content, blah blah blah, and then I got to bed shortly after.

I'm not saying this is the worst thing in the world, and nobody has it worse than me -- don't get me wrong. I realize this is petty s**t. I just wanted to come on and say I couldn't sleep...

Have you had anything with caffeine in it in about the last 8 hours? I drink coffee like nobodys business, and I often have the same problem/symptoms you described if I try to sleep before its worn off.

Oh s**t. Yes. Lol. And I know caffeine has TERRIBLE effects on me. I've noticed that it typically makes me more. Outlandish :) But that was... much earlier. More than 8 hours, but still, like I said, unusually terrible effects. That could be it. I'm trying to think back to the other time, but I don't know about then.

I found this person in another forum that is asking some questions about people that have AS. I'm writing them a huge e-mail, I think that's helping me calm down :D

No caffeine anymore, unless it's 6am. Though I don't know for sure that is what caused this...

I got some strange reactions cutting back on coffee, and having a Coke. The mix of the two sent me into overdrive. They must use different caffiens, can't sleep, pounding pulse.

This week I've had the same issues, and I have not had any caffene. I go to bed early because I'm so tired, but wake up every 2 hours or so until it is time to get up, then I'm tired all day, and repeat the steps. *hugs*

I've heard that, but I don't remember ever actually trying it.

It's because I'm so macho :lmao:
