If I tried to get attention from my mom, all she would do is f*****g talk about her stupid boring interests. Or talk about my mistakes and my future and going to school and that. Like, I GET the f*****g point, shut up about it already!

So how do I get my attention? I'm lost and understimmed without it!

Not sure this will help, as being lonely isn't really the same as needing attention... but games always help. When I get lonely, I just ask someone in my family to play a board game of some kind. Everyone loves a good board game.

Cool; all I need is that and Ritalin or something for my understimulation and maybe I'll be fine. :D

I'm lonely AND crave attention.

*gives Ana54 my full attention*

When I'm lonely and have no one's attention I go to the park and swing.

No park here, no swings, and the YMCA facilities are closed here. :(

*puts Eire's attention in her jewelry box along with gold rings and silver watches*

If you feel that way about talking to your mum (especially if she's picking on you about performance), do you really want to talk to her.... why not find someone else?

By understimulated, do you just mean bored? Or am I missing something here? :(
I'd like to help, but apparently didn't understand the problem.

I have no one else who would care, probably!

My other thread explains you question, Manda. :)

If it helps (and if you're ok about doing so) post here, I'm sure someone will care.

Thanks, Gavin. :D I feel better today! I have attention problems too, Greenblue, when it comes to things like paying attention to jobs rather than people.

Ana54; I care! Maybe, listen to some music, watch a good film or read a book. That usually helps me feel better and make me more stimulated.

Yes, we care. These are good suggestions, can't really think of anything else to add. Funny, in my very worst depressions I don't crave attention, I want the world to forget that I ever existed - the logic being that, if nobody cared, then I could commit suicide with a clean conscience. My parents love me, and I'm therefore still alive.

I have one more thing to add, do something you really like, like drawing, playing a video game or something like that.

pbcoll, I have had the same feeling, but I'm still here because of my parents too. And I'm glad to be here, if not I would never find my real call in life. Thanks mom and dad.

Gbollard has a point -- perhaps the solution is to find someone else whith whom you're more "on the same wavelength". Have some particular interests? Use that as a pointer to discussion forums and online communities that may hold potential friends with common interests. I actually met my current "#1 friend" online at first...!

In this day and age of the Internet, there is no such thing as being so "odd" or "off-beat" that no-one can be found thawt matches you...!

I found Liberty and someone else, I forget their name, in my other thread, and I hope we can meet or do something or become friends or something!
