I need advice re unpopular boss!

My boss often makes me do things that piss people off, even though I warn him beforehand. Then people get angry at me, complain to my boss about me, and I'm the bad guy of the story. I'm losing the hard-earned good connections I made when I had another boss. It feels so hopeless.

I have that problem too but I always make it clear to others when I don't support things.

I'm also a bit relaxed about implementing new rules - and suggest that they complain to the boss if they're unhappy.

try telling the one above him about what is happening, make it clear to your coworkers that it was not your idea and that they should not shoot the messenger.
