January is when everything bad seems to happen in my family. It's the month my great-granma died, when my granpa got run over by his tractor (he survived), when my dad had his quad bypass, and a myriad of other things not quite as tragic but certainly annoying. Now, my Dad's gotten sick from contaminated Heparin, and just as he's getting well enough to be able to go home, my mom gets taken to another ER because she's been really sick the last day or so. As it turns out, she has gallstones and has to have surgery.

So, one parent in one hospital (he still hasn't gotten checked out yet), one in another, and me stuck on my college campus because I can't drive and no-one's available to give me a ride - besides, where would I go with them in different locations?

-siiiiiiigh-

I hate January. Really, I do. It's given my family nothing but trouble for years now.

I'm sorry to hear about your family troubles. I hope everything gets better soon.

I never liked January either. There's just something in the air that makes it a very gray month for me. Even when the sun is shining, it feels gray. I can't wait for February, 'cause for me that's a pink month. Much better.

Thanks, I hope it does too.

I'm in a rather depressive mood today, too - pretty easy to see why. :(

My brother's birthday is in February, so that ought to at least let that month have a good start. Hopefully. . . .
