I really don't want to do it even though I need to. I've been sober for over a year and 3 months but haven't been going to any AA meetings because I don't feel like I can handle it again. My therapist told me that I need to do something about this problem. Well, being sober my sister came over tonight drunk and wanted me to watch her kids. She's never told me to do that. I love those kids but she needs to take responsibility. Then she drags her man in on it. He didn't want to get involved. So they left in a rage. Well I wanted a drink so bad, that I almost went up to the gas station. I hate how everyone else gets to spend their weekends I end up alone. I'd think I'd be use to it by now. I don't know what to do. I'll just end up in hospitals again if I go back.

wishing you well.

Why don't you give alanon a go if you have not tried that already, I find then a much more gentle and less judgmental community.

I've heard of it. I just wish ppl in AA didn't always treat me like an idiot who doesn't know how to deal with life on its terms. If I wasn't, I wouldn't even be on this WP site for support. Yeah, I was brought up in a family that drank. My dad's a recovering alcholic himself.

The most supportive and welcoming place any Aspie could ever find themselves is at an Alanon meeting. :)
