Is it good? Is it okay? Is it okay, but only because we're going to die eventually anyway? Is it bad? If I went back on them should I rotate through them all or what?

Im not sure about that. Or about any of them. I came off Celexa in September last year, I have tapered slowly and I nonetheless had awful depression, anxiety, food cravings and a sort of paranoia even for a while...

I am slowly feeling better now, no longer depressed, but I was depressed for four months after stopping.

Apparently not everyone goes through the same type of withdrawal period. I asked a lot of people who had been on SSRIs and apparently other people had easier withdrawals than me... I think I for some reason just had a bad time coming off them.

Hey, I was on Celexa for 7 months and started cutting down the dose about a month and a half ago. For 2 or 3 weeks I continued to cut it down until I ran out and stopped taking it. I've been off it for a month now and only NOW do I start feeling really sh***y. I have food cravings too; see my thread in General Autism Discussion, lol. They're so intense I feel like I'm going to vomit if I don't eat tha particular stuff, and absolutely nothing else. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING else churns my stomach, literally. Just thinking about it or seeing a picture of it or a package it comes in or hearing its name. Celexa is the only prescribed antidepressant I've ever been on.

I feel really sh***y.

Reportedly, people only feel withdrawal symptoms after one month off the SSRI.. this is because the body still has a supply of it in its cells, and this is how long it takes for the body to exhaust its supply...

Subsequently the body and brain then has to adjust... which leads to fun fun fun for the person trying to get off them..

For me I had to decide whether I wanted to go back on them or stay off them. I had to ride out the sh***y part to get to it though...

At least you didnt make the mistake I made and come off before the winter. My withdrawals coincided with December and January where there is little sunlight and it made my withdrawal twice as "fun"!

Still having monster cravings.. Im hoping they will go away over time....

I fel a lot better now. :D

Actually, I took half a Celexa once like a week ago, which was all I had left and had been saving it after stopping it for some day when I felt really bad. That 20 mg of Celexa probably delayed the withdrawal by another week or something...

I craved soup and crackers and old cheese and spicy sausage, now I crave it all but the sausages, and now spaghetti and meatballs and spaghetti sauce and a mint leaf or a leaf of something on top. At least it doesn't change every minute like it did for a few minutes. :x Oh, and I wouldn't mind some kimchi-flavored ramen noodles. :x :x

If it makes you feel better I don't see anything wrong with it.

I used some bad ones for WAY too long. They made me crazy.

It isn't that inconvenient. Maybe for some lifestyles it is. I hope not. Did having to take them depress you more than the reason you had to take them in the first place? Yeah, then if it's that simple going off them might be a good idea... I never minded having to take them...

Sounds like you are craving healthy food, for me it is chocolate, cakes, biscuits, alcohol, all the naughty stuff. Sounds like you just want to be filled up with protein and carbs and eat real food, which is a good thing...
