I need a reason to keep going I feel that its to hard and upsetting to keep trying to live this way. Im angry that other people get what they want and I get less or nothing at all. I thought that I was ok with who I am but I'm not. NT's make it seem so simple to make friends and have relationships but it is not. Every time I try to do this I fail miserably at it and Im starting to feel less and less motivated to try again. I feel as if im standing still and everyone else and eveything else is passing me by without even noticing that Im standing there. I know that my family loves me but that is no longer enough for me. I don't know how much more I have in me to keep fighting. The last encounter I had with someone fizzled because they cared more about what their friends thought then about the possibility of a relationship and the icing on the cake was they decided that they wanted to date some freshman in high school ( before you get the wrong Idea he was a junoir in highschool). apparently I was too old for him. ( we were both 17 at the time) or maybe it was because I didn' t mesh with his friends. Its things like this that make me want to stop fighting. please give me a reason not to.

Sounds like we're in the same boat.

Well, you're not in high school anymore so what do you do in your life now that takes you around other people?
Do you have any interests that could be shared with others?

I mostly meet women I am interested in at work, and so far those relationships haven't lasted forever either.

People I know tell me to do what I enjoy doing and I'll find someone who's interested in the same things.
Can't say I have utilized that advice yet... not sure about it.

There are other pleasures in life aside from personal relationships with other people.
You're young enough that you can still work on personal development while figuring out what sorts of people are good for you and looking for them.

Not sure that made any sense.

Anyway, I would suspect there are things that make you happy in life outside of relationships aren't there?
I know one person who prefers to be by herself with her dog and cat mostly.
Human companionship comes secondary for her and that's how she seems to want/like it.

I am so made that I prefer human companionship over that of animals.

Guys always seem to want what is easy to obtain...think of yourself as a shining, golden apple at the top of the tree and many guys only want what is in easy reach for picking off the tree or those apples that have fallen to the ground. Someday, that really
special guy is going to come along and be willing to go out on a limb for you.

In the meantime, develop your interests, take up a hobby, do volunteer work...look outside yourself for all the good you can do.
There is a reason for your existence...you just haven't discovered what that is yet.

Good luck!
