The simple truth is, that by making others feel bad, you can feel good. I've been on both sides (more often the receiving end). By humiliating others in public, the spectators will laugh at them, and they attribute that laughter to your efforts, which makes you feel good. Like hunting: you mount a deer's head on your wall and your friends compliment you on it, which makes you feel good at the deer's expense. The average aspie is a deer with only two legs in this case.
Even if its not in public, there is still the thrill of power I guess. Supposedly you can take the high road and ignore them, though I tried that in middle school and I guess I messed up because even though I managed to put on the appearance of ignoring them, the things they said still got to me on the inside, and it has been a major influence on my current outlook on life. So unless you can find this fabled "high road", well....I got nothing other than that. Sorry I can't be of more help.
