Are there any other bulletin boards you've found helpful, whether it's an AS site or some other? I'm looking for resources, help...I know there are bulletin boards for just about everybody, and while this site is the best overall AS site, are there any that are more specific, say for those seeking more support? Or more adult-oriented (and I don't mean X rated)?

Well, you already know of Gestalt (one of the offshoots in the great schism of early 2006), when a few folks from here went & created their own boards.

I like it because people don't generally talk smack there-it's less scary & mean than WP can be. I get bored there, though, so I end up coming back to WP since there are just so many topics here (but have to skip over a lot more intimidating stuff here). Glad I don't have to choose only one to participate in, and can go back & forth.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been there and find it too pedantic and constraining. I'm looking more for a place that provides some amount of support and understanding from other AS adults (like you, Belfast)...

I haven't found any of them helpful, including this one. I am a member of Sciforums.com, but that's just for fun and edukachunul.

I used to like posting in a duck hunting forum (duck hunting is one of my perserverances) - its just nice having a friendly forum about something I am interested in.

Unlike WP, there is no hostility or negativity in duck hunters' forums - only friendly comments.

Maybe we should give everybody here a shotgun.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...

That's ironically funny to me. I used to have chickens who bred and had little chicks every few weeks, so I joined a chicken forum, and when I posted about how my rooster got stolen for cock-fighting (which is illegal but prevalent in Hawaii) I was almost banned. Who knew chickens could be so controversial. Or maybe it's just me. Sigh.

Wait - you KILL DUCKS.
