My mother totally refused to even accept that i might have AS at all...(wiating 4 Dx)....so when i used 2 ask her what time she'd be home from shopping or whatever, or complain that her friends drop by totally unannounced, or that I couldnt stand the glare from the living room light or whatever she'd just go ballistic + start ranting on that she's not living in a prison. :evil: :evil: :evil: then we wouldnt talk for about a week

How could your mother take you home if you two were locked inside Wal-Mart along with other people?

It wasn't that she wasn't listening, she couldn't do anything about it. You two weren't allowed to leave the store.

I can't stand being locked up. But then, I don't want to be in a tornado either. Sucks either way.

Its a Tornado, and any store like Walmart is going to lock their customers in.
You should listen to your mom, your lucky, alot of mom's that shop at Wallymart,
would have hauled off and slaped their kids if they misbehaved like what you did,
you should know that people are stressed enough during a tornado, and being a
petulant brat does not help, you should apologize to your mother.

You need to learn how to control your meltdowns. AS or autism is never an excuse for bad behavior. You need to learn how to control it. I know its hard but it gets easier as you keep trying.


Maybe you get bashing because of your attitude?

During a tornado alert stores will do that, for their customers safety, and to keep people like you from getting hurt by running out into the parking lot and getting killed by whatever's out there. Being so disrespectful of your mother poking her with an umbrella, your not going to get any sympathy from anyone

Thats is good you apologized to your mom, I only got mad because you should never panic during an emergency, those storms have been very bad down there, heres some of the video of how bad its getting
