I've been ticking non-stop for the past week. The tics that got worse were my blinking and vocal grunts that sound like hiccups.

But I think I know why:

I had a dream about my ex-girlfriend a few days ago and she asked me why I can't let her go. I told her because I love her but she started crying. When she starts crying, she is basically brought to a darker depression. She told me to go away and let her think.

Do you think it has something to do with this dream? If yes, what does this say about me? If no, could it be something else?

The dream isn't the cause.

Rather, the dream is because you are thinking about this situation on a sub-consious level. It's playing on your mind.

I'll also bet you have aches and pains somewhere in your shoulders or back, perhaps neck.

Muscle stress, dreams on a perticular subject, and your ticks, are a result of this relationship breaking up. They are not a cause, but a resulting symptom.
