On a few recent psychology essays, my teacher has given me 10/12 marks. This wouldn't bother me, if I didn't think I was improving, but I believe I am.

For example, a few weeks ago, I got 10/12 for an essay that had a lot of mistakes on it. When I handed the next essay in, I used the same format but applied the corrections and I still got 10/12. While, I realise it wasn't worth 12/12, it was definitely an improvement from the last one as there were only one or two minor mistakes (I'd say it was probably an 11/12).

But I recieved another essay back that she had marked, which I DEFINITELY argue was worth 12/12, and she had still only given it 10/12. This time, her comment was 'the only reason you lost a couple of marks was for the slight inaccuracy'.

The "slight inaccuracy" was not in fact an inaccuracy at all: I had written in the essay that the DSM-II was used in 1973, which it was, because it was published in 1968 and the DSM-III wasn't published until 1980. When I confronted her about it, she told me that she had said it was inaccurate because she wasn't sure whether it was correct or not. How could she have said it was inaccurate if she didn't even know it was inaccurate? - which, I repeat, IT WASN'T!! !

So when I googled it and proved that it was true, I asked her if she would remark it and she said no because it would look messy if she was to cross out her original comments, and that I now knew that the comment was irrelevant. I asked her if she would mark it again if I re-wrote the essay but she told me that I shouldn't waste my time over something so petty.

I WANT HER TO ADMIT THAT IT WAS WORTH 12 MARKS!! !! ARGGHHHHHH!! !!

And also, there is another girl in my class who handed in the same essay with about 50000000000000000000 mistakes on it, and she also got 10/12. Is it me, or is my teacher being completely unfair?

While I agree your teacher may not be the best out there, you are beating a dead horse, and making yourself unpopular with the teacher. This could lead to her being more critical of you in her grading of your work. Ease up, and just try to be low key with her.

I try to shut up in her lessons but there's only three of us in her class so its inevitable that I end up speaking, and then I find it really hard to be quiet for the rest of the lesson until I get to the point where I interrogate people until they end up hating me. I don't understand why she's unfair to me though - I'm hoping she'll just snap and end up telling me why.

Yes. Your teacher is unfair. Have you talked to your parents or anyone else about this? "It would look messy" isn't a good reason not to change your grade.

Your teacher doesn't care about teaching, or her students. She just wants to get paid and go home.

Most people are the same.

Don't be surprised if she does it again just to piss you off for making her waste her "oh so precious" time and energy to talk to you about something that she just wants to ignore.

When I finally build a continent-sized bonfire to get rid of all the trash, your teacher can go in it.

My Bosses have this rule. If an autistic makes a mistake there is nothing that an autistic can do to make up for that mistake. My Boss was even very well pleased with my improvement and was very satisfied with my work but my Boss fired me because I could not go back in time and fix the mistake,
