And I'm considering that I do indeed have Asperger's syndrome.

But no one seems to care. They tease me as if I'm normal, and think I take advantage of the disorder. But I have no understanding of the human mind or human nature. I can not trust anyone or anything. But, they just continue the abuse as if I am normal and yell at me for doing things associated with AS as if I'm some normal person doing those things.

Don't worry about trying to prove yourself to people here. Even if you don't have the disorder you are still welcome. This place is for everyone.

It may be that you don't have pure aspergers but you could have anything else on the spectrum.

They don't know you as well as you do, and it would seem that you are not pretentious. If it is the case that your actions are subconscious, try and be in the frame of mind of: I don't have aspergers. Try it, and see if it makes any difference.

i know how you feel and it's hard at times. you don't need prove yourself to others, though. if you feel comfortable enough with a person then you can tell them why you act the way you do. many people have this strange assumption that everybody is like them. strange, huh?
