It may take a couple of days for us to watch and see what you are about, to make sure you are not trolling us, etc. Trolls are a common concern on this site.

Are any current posters trolls?

OK I am going to ask, what exactly is a troll? I took it to mean someone who verbally abuses or disbelieves an individual with a neurological condition. Please correct me.

Basically just someone who acts like a prick and intentionally starts arguments. Usually coupled with poor writing skills and an appearance of low intelligence.

That's an apt description. My guess is because so many with AS have been burned by taking things at face value, they become suspicious of even innocent friendliness after a while. The strategy I think is to wait and see if someone sticks around; I've seen longtime members called trolls, though.

Anyway, it might be why people aren't being so friendly right up front.

I hadn't noticed any lack of friendliness.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Lol, well maybe they weren't. I noticed it when I signed up.

So what is it that isn't getting any better?

Just life in general. I don't have any friends and, as I've said several times in other threads, I feel unloved.

By the way, should I have been told by the doctor when I was diagnosed that I have Asperger's syndrome? Because I never was told directly. The psychologist (whatever he was) just mentioned that, "since he has Asperger's..." to my father while I was in the room, and my father acted as though he had known for a while. I was about twelve or thirteen when I found out, if the age is relevant.

When dealing with minors, I'm guessing psychiatrists leave it to the parents to decide what to tell them. I would take that issue up with your parents, not your doctor.

Did you say you were 15? 15 is hard. I remember I ran away when I was 15, on Christmas, slept in the closet of someone I had briefly met for about 6 days, came back expecting them to be like "we missed you", but instead nearly got sent to an institution and was put on scary tricyclic antidepressants which made me sleep all the time.

Life got better for me.
