I'm totally alone, have no friends whatsoever, can't make friends at work for the life of me, not even to share work lunch once in a while. I'm the ostracized one everywhere. Lately I've been astounded to notice that I've actually made a friend at work.

Just now she called me to say that of the 10% employees downsized today in the company, she's one of them.

I can't but laugh at my ridiculous life.

Good for you, although i don't want to remind myself on how my own future will look =/

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she finds a job near where yours is so you two can still get together for lunch sometimes.

Maybe you could exchange phone numbers so you can stay in touch and get together on weekends or something? It's hard enough for us to find friends that it's worth a little work to hang on to them.

Aww Kalima, your words did me a world of good. I hadn't thought about it, you're right, I'll exchange phone numbers with her in hopes she remains in our Sillicon Valley and we can have lunch together!!
