You're human.

Hatred is a natural response to someone who you feel threatened or compromised by in some way. The best way not to hate someone is to ignore or downplay the negative impact they have on you.

I know that feeling.

I want infinitely many people to be as happy as possible for as long as possible a duration of time with as little pain as possible, or even no pain at all.

And yet I am forced into a world where that is not so: I am forced to 'hate' when I don't really want to.

Yeah all you can do is try not to dwell on hatred. Emotions, unfortunately, can't be controlled.

I hate myself for hating other people. Hate is an awkward and mysterious emotion. No two hates are ever the same between individuals. My hate is usually linked to envy. I do no wish any bad or misfortune to occur to the person and I can still like them and have them as my best friend, but the hate is still there. Hate is best ignored and not paid attention to.

I hate people but then when those feelings go away, I don't think I hate them anymore. Hate is a strong word.

But do I still hate them if I don't care something bad happened to them or what happens to them?I am like this with pretty much everyone. I hardly feel bad about someone I don't know or I don't like. One of my good online friends had a Cretan who is going to be her brother in law soon and the s**t his sis sometimes gives her like egging him to give her money until he gives in. I don't feel anything except frustration that he has to give in on his sis. if I were him, I would get so emotionally nasty I would threaten a restraining order or just tell her I have those papers to put her in a hospital and if she bugs me one more time I will do it and then show her the papers to prove to her I am not bluffing. he really does have papers signed to put her in one because he blackmailed one of his doctors to sign.

Some Christians have said that indifference is worse than hate; that saying, "I don't care about you" is an even worse sin than saying, "I hate you."

This was after I told them about some coke freak loser who had tried to goad and "guilt-trip" me into doing something stupid, and that when I told them that his methods were not only laughable, but that they were ineffective, as I can not be "guilt-tripped" into doing anything against my will.

Hatred is counter-productive to reason. I try to detach my self from the feeling of hatred towards somebody, partly to give me more "mental room" to resolve the situation, and partly so that I don't start retching and vomitting from the stress like some emo schoolgirl. I still feel the hate, but is has less influence on my physical and mental states.
