I don't want you to get rid of your sense of entitlement. Or rather, the only way to get rid of it is to help you feel pleasure again. Anhedonia is a recognized medical condition and a sign of depression; maybe you need therapy and/or meds. My boyfriend says Wellbutrin is good; it makes him happy just from the little things in life.

Everybody wants more, which probably explains the appeal of the Rolling Stones song "Can't Get No Satisfaction". John D. Rockefeller was once asked how much money he considered enough money, and he replied, "Just a little more". Dissatisfaction is what drives us on (and I use "us" to include all humans). Once you're completely satisfied with life, you might as well be dead, because there's nothing left to strive for anymore.

Interesting. Maybe you worry too much about what others think about you, actually. You might think about trying to be more independent, and by that I mean not worry about what anyone else is doing or expecting, and just worry about how you're doing in your own eyes. Maybe if you do that, you can kill two birds with one stone by feeling more fulfilled with what you're accomplishing and so strive to do more.

If this sounds totally ridiculous, I humbly acknowledge you might think so.
