I always try to be perfect and take everything to my maximum potential. But for no reason, the more I push & be perfect, the worse things get...

Then stop trying to be perfect. No one is, and no one will ever be.

I think I can kind of relate to that. There are some things I don't much care about, but stuff like drawing or writing or making my own games, well...I tend to try to find as many faults with them as I can so that I can improve on them, but sometimes I just give up because it feels like I just can't make any progress.

It took me awhile to figure out that 'perfect' was an impossible goal.
Doing the best you can under the circumstances is ok but don't kill yourself lest you'll have diminishing returns (don't overload!! !! !). Continual improvement is a much more attainable goal and having a growth mindset does wonders for your life.

Slow down. Trust me you don't want to burn out and go insane.
Like other posters said, no one is perfect. You are not a god. No one expects you to be.
Try your best, sure. Just never berate yourself over small failures. They happen.
All that matters is that you are happy.

I was doing research recently on perfectionism. Apparently other people like the faults others have. Maybe it's a one-upmanship nature that you and I are addicted to.
