I don't know if depression did it or something, but it seems like my personality got ripped in half. It doesn't seem like DID though, I can remember myself perfectly fine. It seems like two people in one body, one trying to keep up with everything, the other trying to screw "me" over. Maybe it came from depression, or depression came from it, I dunno. Maybe it's just schizo trying to make me believe this? Agh. I can't be sure of anything anymore. I can't be sure if anything I do is by me or by the other me or just my imagination. Why can't I just be normal?

"Normal" is just another setting on the washing machine.

Hello! I just made a post very similar to this post right at the same time. If you're interested, follow this link-- Need input from people with DID . I too don't feel right when I say "I" or "me". It's hard to explain how I feel. It's difficult to put into words, but it feels like my sense of self is broken.

You might be depersonalized. It feels sick and very scary but it is usually curable and short lived. I have it as a disorder. I've had it for years, but my case is a very rare one. For most people, it goes away in about 2 to 4 weeks. The best treatment is to not worry about it. Go about your daily life. You may also need treatment for whatever drove you to it ( anxiety disorder, depression, etc.)

Type "depersonalization" into a search engine and you will find a lot of information on it. Get better soon! :)

I think you're perfectly normal and just suffering from depression. It sounds like you like to make yourself think there's something further wrong with you, you are definently not schizo. Stop trying to make yourself think that, I used to try to convince myself that too, it's a waste of time. Try to think of ways to make yourself better instead.

Hope you can feel better soon Mosse, Christmas can sometimes bring unconscious stressors, stress can throw things out of sync. and cause problems.

Take good care of yourself!
