The friggin police are coming back!

don't go to jail ! ! you can make to many new friennds in there!! !! and possibly be married by the time you get out. please don't do anything illeagal you'll be in more of a mess than you already are.

well, I imagine things are happening faster than we can respond in a forum.

Chances are, if they come, you'll be greeting by the police, who won't arrest you, but will ask many questions. If they think you're just 'overwrought', they'll take you home. If they think there's cause, they'll take you to someone with Child Protective Services. What happens from then on will be a matter for the courts.

You're not in trouble, so much as trying to deal with a situation. no one's going to jail.

If you are arrested, which seems unlikely, ask for a lawyer. Since you can't afford one, they should appoint one for free. If it's a dependency case, you should still have a lawyer - there's one that represents child protective services, your mother could have one, and they should appoint one for you.

Hang on, it's illegal to run away from home? I did that once, and five miles later, I got picked up by the non-emergency police patrol that had just happened to be passing (I made the mistake of bringing a massive suitcase through teh countryside, I must have looked a right twat). Was actually quite cool, LOL. But no mention of any serious stuff happened.

am what is called a regular 'absconder' [the nicer sounding child term for it is 'runner'] and am always brought back home by the police,as they're called by staff as soon as am get away.
they take am home in the car,or will arm restraint walk am home with one on each side if am close by to make sure do not hit out or run off again.
anyway,the point is-they have never arrested am-they have never once even mentioned the idea of it,to am they are very friendly,and seem to understand that there's always a reason for running off.

police will never arrest for just running off because it isnt illegal and there is supposed to be a lot of paperwork involved just for the call out,so even if it was illegal couldnt see them arresting for it because the extra paperwork would be worth more than a quick visit to a police station.

when possible,just make sure to cooperate with police if this ever happens again,and dont call them nasty names or attack them,though am have lived with several people who have punched,tore hair out of and called nasty names to police and got away without arrests because of their disabilities.


as for the fight with own mum [if that is what happened? not sure if remembering right] ,police do not like to get very involved with family problems and what had done will definitely not get an arrest either,
unless own mum had fought to have it done for ABH/GBH/whatever they call it.

everything will go back to normal,just give it time.

Wow. I really hope she's going to get some help with her messed up family situation (going by previous posts) instead of just getting locked up.

I hate the American penal system (assuming she's American, but anyway . . .). It seems it usually does more harm than good. I mean, the only good thing it does is getting some violent people away from general society and into a society of other violent people and a greater number of basically normal people who have no choice but to become violent once they're in that environment. And is there still violence out in the big world? Of course, as always.

So if she gets locked up, I hope they don't keep her there long and that she has the strength to get through it without being affected too badly. She's young. What a sh***y way to start life.

On the other hand, because she's young, things could get a lot better for her over time, as she becomes an adult and gains more control over her life.

But, Black cat, you might be admitted to some sort of group home for troubled teens. Perhaps you will get some needed advice there.
