The recovery specialist i found online doesnt seem to be returning my emails or listing my posts. she says that i just have to grow up and accept discomfort in recovery that every thing happening is normal.
SHe had told me she wouldnt respond to my emails while i was not on the protcol she set up for me, although im not exactly certain what i did wrong. its been weeks and she has not responded to me. I know something is not quite right and needs additional help. SHe is quite frankly the best when in combs to the tecnical aspect of what she does but is very funny about who she will help and under what conditions. She is a medical intitiuve(she never claimed this i just found this out on my own) and has been flawless helping me when the situation was dire. problem is she doenst seem to be listening to me right, forcing me to go else where and i dont know who or what is gonna help.

her name is catherine creel and she runs a yahoo group.

well, she doesn't help you if she won't answer your emails.

1 a minute for about a hour a phone consult for complicated cases to set up a protocol, the rest of the time working with her is free,
she doenst charge for uncomplicated cases.

my naturopath is about 300 dollars an hour.

so, 60 bucks to set up a protocol and then free work for what. . life? until you're done? does she think you are done?

yeah, she works free until your done.

she put me on a three step protocol and says im not ready for step two and wont listen to the idea that i need some extra help to get things moving again. without extra help i will be essentially the same as i am now and in 6 montsh a year two years four. she is saying im just complaining too much, never mind i dont think she ever had an aspie client before, that everything happening is normal, even though i have a good sense of sense and what should be happening.

She doesn't sound like a good source of advice really. You are 1 of 1000 people she's talked with on the phone once. She has refused to reply to you. If she does reply, I wouldn't take the advice. Getting off meds safely would be better handled by someone with an office. So you can see credentials on their wall. It's highly probably that this miracle lady from the internet isn't as qualified or good as you may think she is.

well, if she is charging you nothing, then you are getting what you pay for.

If you are attempting to get off psych meds then you need to be seeing somebody with either MD or APRN credentials. Anything less than that and the person is unqualified to be dispensing prescriptions and medical advice. Many psych meds are unsafe if they are not tapered properly.

I would also be highly skeptical of someone claiming to provide this kind of treatment online, and not charging besides. Psychiatrists or mental health nurse practitioners will typically insist on having more contact with a patient who is undergoing a medication change, not less. The fact that you stated she hasn't replied to your emails in weeks is a MAJOR red flag.

For your own well-being, please see a properly credentialed provider, in person, that receives payment for services.

well its turns out she had the flu.

and mds are rather worthless for coming off psych meds( unless your talking about an icam one)( they are rather worthless in general.)
pschiatric people are especially worthless and even dangerous for talking people off psych drugs. I am already off by 6 months already.

i see an nd right now who is way better educated than than your run of the mill md.

when you go through what i have been through, you realize how wrong conventional wisdom is.
