I'm thirteen, but I sometimes get into "tantrums" I simply can't control. I feel like it isn't even me anymore, I just go around stamping and yelling and hitting and acting violent. Today was my worst one and I got so mad that I shoved my mom into a bathtub filled with cat litter. I think I broke her wrist. Then there was all this yelling and my parents are now mad at me, but they don't understand that I can't control it. I feel bad, like, I'm ready to kill myself. I want this to end. Please, help me!

Well I'm not really qualified to say how to deal with you're tantrums but I'd suggest that you seek some kind of help in dealing with them. If you're parents wont listen maybe there is someone at school or you're doctor who could advise you on how to get help, just explain that you feel this is something that you can't control and is causing you a lot of problems.

In terms of hating yourself just remember that you yourself said that this is something that you can't control, and you recognize that it involves doing things that you don't really want to do so it doesn't make you a bad person. A lot of people have problems like this, just seek help and try not to blame yourself for them. And whatever you do don't kill yourself. It's been said on here before but the only problem that really can't be dealt with is death, and at thirteen there is a lot of joy and happiness yet to come in life. I know it may not seem like it now but it's true, I know because when I was you're age I thought about suicide all the time and that I'd never be happy but I managed to deal with a lot of my problems and have a lot of experiences I'm very glad I was a live for.

I have to ask, why do you have a bathtub full of cat litter?

When I was younger, I had to just walk out. Not as in "run away from home", but just get out, take a walk, calm down. Anything physical is very helpful too. Maybe you could get a punching bag and just beat the crap out of it when you feel the need?

When you feel the rage comming on just go to your room and try to calm down.
Anger management therapy may help.

Dont kill your self , your parents may be mad but they will forgive you. Your parents love you. Dont give up!

try a psychologist, they can help you understand yourself better, or you could try to find someone who wants to listen to you so you can tell your whole story to that person, it helped relief stress for me, just being able to explain what's going on inside yourself in your own words, can help a lot

It is common in aspies to behave like that, so You don't have to hate Yourself. Or mabye You are depressed? When I was 13 I was highly depressed over my poor social skills and inability to interact with others and about the fact that I have no purpose in my life ( I didnt know about aspergers back then) and I tried to committ suicide... It's nothing fine, so I hope You will get better

Trust me kid, you're not the only one who doesn't control themselves all the time. I feel like I'm on autopilot and doing things I don't agree with all the time in my daily life because of fears and impulses, not just when I'm mad. Taking control of yourself takes discipline. I find it easier when I'm happy. Maybe if you could just find better inner peace or something.

You could try martial arts, channel your rage into that. I used to do martial arts, I pictured the punchbag as being whoever had been meanest to me during the day. It really helped.
