I am an Aspie, albeit a reasonably functioning one.

I married a woman with bipolar disorder although I didn't know it at the time.
I stuck it out. Two children, 36 years and hundreds of hospital admissions (for my wife) later...

My daughter (who is "normal") married a man who looked like "Mr Perfect"
Tall, fit, handsome, black belt in Karate, you name it. IQ off the charts and a top computer programmer.
The guy is "Joe Cool"

We have two granddaughters, the eldest of whom is four. It would sound like bragging to say how smart she is. (Yes, she is THAT smart)

But now my son in law has been diagnosed with "borderline personality disorder"
He doesn't mean to but he flies off the handle and says and does things that he regrets.

My four year old granddaughter is showing the same trend.

My god, does it never end? Is there no peace in this world.
The sins of the fathers.....

Wow. That is incredibly hard for everyone. I have 2 cousins with BPD so I'm very familiar with it. I hope the father sets a good example it being proactive and consitent with his own healthcare so that as his daughter grows she can do the same.
