Do people put you down if you say you think differently?
My mom mention that I say that alot but IMO it's the best answer I can give I THINK DIFFERENTLY! For example I worry over my nephew (1 1/2) hurting his self on the treadmill and yet didn't react when my 7 year old sister ran around in the parking lot. For some reason with the parking lot issue my brain wasn't "In it" so to speak would be my answer. As in your lost in space sure getting hit by a car is 1,000 times worse then the nephew breaking his leg on a treadmill for example perhaps but for me I don't tend to think like that.
My mom also mention commonsense on the issue. Which I tend not to have.
Does anyone understand where I'm coming from?
Yes. The treadmill LOOKS scary. The parking lot does not. Unless you think through a series of things, you can't figure out that the 7 year old shouldn't be running around the parking lot. But, you can just look at the treadmill and get a sudden instinct that it isn't safe. It sounds like perfectly normal aspie stuff to me!
YA! I was scared automatically that he'd hurt his leg etc. Yet his mom was upset saying he plays on it all the time. I feel bad after the fact and you feel why bother mentioning anything IMO I was worried that he'd GET HURT! Interesting you mention it sounds Normal Aspie LOL!

Yeah. I don't think it's anything to do with Asperger's. Your view point totally makes sense to me. I would worry more for a baby then a 7 year old because with the 7 year old, you can call them back and they will run back, plus good drivers most of the time will see the child appose from a baby in a parking lot.
I wouldn't worry about it much. We are all different and uniqe in our personalites. Some are Sensing, some are less Cautious. Nothing wrong with that.
