I keep getting these uncontrollable bursts of anger at the smallest thing. I just threw a chair across the room because the music download software on my computer wasn't working. I still have a bit of self-control, because else I would have put my fist through the screen.

Last night I was shouting and slamming doors because my mum wouldn't explain why she wouldn't let me stay up as late as I want cos it's a weekend. I wasn't as much annoyed at her making me go to bed, but just because she wouldn't explain why. I HATE IT WHEN SHE DOES THAT!! !! !! !! !! !! !! ! I'm not a robot, I'm a human, I won't just accept commands for no reason whatsoever!! !! !! !!

I hate myself.

Often bursts of anger are caused as result of a build up of frustration. I dont really think it was your software failing that caused you to burst out. It was probably a few days worth of frustration which at that point could not be controlled. I think the best thing for you is to try and identify whats causing you this frustration, it is obviously something more than a few isolated incidents. Am I on the right track?????

If I am right then once you realise what the main source of the frustration is, then you can try to resolve it in some way. Allowing a build up of frustration is not good and it becomes a viscious of cycyle which is hard to get out of. I wish I had some better advice but thats all I got. I hope things get better for you....Good luck.

jogging helps me a lot with this. maybe you should try some workout? punching bag maybe?

also, I find that magnesium supplements make me a lot more chilled-out.

The reason your mom never explained "Why" is because she did not have valid justification for her command. She just wanted to feel in control.
