...has anyone taken it?
Can anyone give me a real life idea of the potential side effects?
Is it difficult to stop taking?

I take it and I like it. I was in the hospital when I was started on it so I never read about all the side effects and stuff so I don't know about that. It isn't a problem to get off of.

Good to hear. In less than an hour my doc convinced me I had some very OCD type patterns. Apparently Luvox is the best drug for OCD. I didn't want another SSRI, I'm afraid of losing my sex drive and of course, gaining weight. These actually may be dealbreakers. Of course, I am totally on the fence.

No issues with sex drive or weight gain?

not sure if I can post links yet or not but

http://www.crazymeds.us/luvox.html

it is not the most PC website but it has some decent info and gives you an idea of the drug outside of wiki.

Personally, I hate antidepressants. I took Prozac (which I'm assuming is somewhat similar). It just turned me into a zombie with no ambition, no libido, and no appetite. So I guess I got the opposite of weight gain. I got off of it over a year ago, and I feel better without it.
