my cat just stopped eating. i havent had to refill her bowls for two days. yesterday i even put two treats in there, a little bonus she appreciates from time to time, she hasnt touched it.

i tried w her fave food just now, and shes not touching it. shes never been picky about the food either

im gonna meet up w my stepmother tomorrow, cus she and my dad are those who help out financially in case of veterinarians and stuff

but what would prompt a cat to just stop eating? she seems fine otherwise, shes cuddly, curious and inquisitive, even active :S :/

There could be some reasons that I knwow...

* the bowl is not clean enough
* the food is old
* the cat is sick
* the cat is angry with you and does not eat as a protest
* the cat is eating some place else

Try offering her a favorite "special" food that won't make her sick, like turkey meat or tuna fish. You can mix that in with some of her usual food.
You can also try spoon-feeding her.
Is she still drinking? If not, you should take her to the vet.

the only thing she did eat was some whipped cream off a spoon.

i highly doubt the protest thing, shes been her usual overly cuddle self, as she always is. shes just not eating.
the bowls are clean, and she has both her favorite food, and her favorite treats out, ready for eating. shes left the treats untouched for two days.

im gonna watch if she drinks water.

i hand-fed her one of the kitty-treats, and she ate it, whatever that means :S

k she eats her kitty food now, finally... after a weekend of nothing.

maybe someone's been feeding her. goddamn that pisses me off. last time a neighbor fed her, she shat all over herself when she got home.

i give her healthy food, and then neighbors give her crap and trash

She might have hyperthyroidism! (It's common in cats). The thyroid regulates appetite and activity level. If it's overactive the effected cat will be hyper, affectionate, and not hungry. The vet should be able to treat her relatively easily. I have no idea how cheap or expensive it will be though.

she ate, but she seems to have stopped again. im gonna monitor her today and tomorrow, and then im gonna hear with a vet. at least she ate yesterday, but she still went two days before, eating nothing

and im thinking, theres no way shes FED on rodents or whatever, not for two days, not by neighbors either

gaya, she is always very affectionate, ive spoiled her so i dunno if her affection lately has been more than normal, or just her ordinary wanna-cuddle-all-the-freaking-time attitude
