Today I am in such a blah mood. Everything seems so routine and everyday that I am bored. I just feel this feeling of "What's next?" but my car is in the panelshop and I cant go anywhere easily. I am on the outskirts of town and the public transport here is a bit of a drama. There seems to be nothing to do here but watch TV and stuff popcorn down my throat, and I am seriously considering buying chocolate which I know will bring my mood up but I am hypoglycaemic and shouldnt have chocolate.

I just want to know, how do people deal with this feeling of boredom and ennui? I am on disability and I miss work even though I hated it when I was working... but at least I was sort of going somewhere and getting a full time income for it.

I guess I am asking, what to do about ennui, about boredom, about the existential blank, about looking outside and wishing to be back in the jungle but just seeing miles and miles of suburbia.

And what to do with time.

What to do with life, I guess.

just gaze at the crystal chandalier.

you know. . I grew up in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita had Boeing, Beechcraft, Cessna and Lear Jet factories (The Air Capitol of the World!) I went to highschool and was the 'victim' for the lifesaving trainees. One of the trainees was Mr. and Mrs. Lear's darling daughter. Her honest to god name? Chanda.

I kid you not, I almost drowned her in the demo. Her folks were not amused.

WP is here for you, for all of us, and that ain't half bad.

Ennui seems to be Christopher Hitchens favorite word. Is there any comfort in your "blah" mood like a warm nothingness or is it just a dragging out of time that seems endless?

Thanks, Sinsboldly. I wish I could look at the chandelier but it is in Dublin Castle... I toured it about 2 years ago with my grandmother i remember, and took that photo with my phone. It is a very interesting castle, and has parts that are 1000 years old.

Interesting that you met the Lear family. Sounds kind of cool to have had plane factories everywhere. I love flying, though have never been on a Lear jet.

Yeah I feel a bit better today. I realise now that I have to make the most of things even though there is not such a lot going on here...

Mikemmlj... it is not such a bad blah mood I guess but it is hard to not be working and have so much time to fill and have no idea what to do with it.... maybe everyone can send me their laundry to do or something.
