I'm not really too sure.
I myself am asexual but If I was in your position, I would make sure that they are prepared to accept it BEFORE you tell them.
Sorry if that makes no sense.

Tell them over the phone? They'd be hard pressed to look at you if you're not in the same room.

Or you could say it inbetween some other more serious confessions, like, "last night I killed a man, stole his elephant and went on a violent rampage through town before wiring it with explosives and detonating it next to an orphanage. Oh and by the way, I'm also bi." That way they probably won't focus on the fact that you're bi, they'll be more concerned about the other stuff and so you'll get away with it.

Let me know how it works out.

join your school's LGBT alliance. go to LGBT events. put up LGBT supportive posters. i think it's better to introduce the topic and explain to your family why LGBT have the same rights as straight folks. take your family to LGBT events like fundraisers, rallies, etc.

good luck. it's tough. though. being LGBT is totally fine, but straight people are just not educated about it. so i'd start by educating yourself, then your family, then hinting, then just being open about it. who cares what they say anyway? you do what your body wants!

Well, are your family generally tolerant of people's differences? Or not?
