My dad screamed at me because i got sad that i got mixed up buying a six pack on the way to my apartment and kept blowing up at me while he help me move stuff in. ANd then said i was abusing him. How i can i get him to understand he has to behave around me and in my space and that he cant pull the same s**t as when i was a kid?

I don't know the details beyond what you have stated, but we can be a frustrating lot to deal with. My mom is coming to help me out today and my house is a complete disaster, it is tough but if you are like me we have to realize that it is our lack of a normal lifestyle and social skills that frustrates those that are close to us.

I may be totally out of line in your case. But we sometimes fail to realize that AS affects those that care about us as well.

its not simply that, if something like that went on long enough he would escalate into violence

Just don't let him in your place anymore.

If he is acting violent or gives the signs of acting so, then maybe you need to keep him away from your place for a while. Either he will get the lesson or not.

You do not have to put up with that type of abuse when you are at your own place. I have had people tell me what to in my place and they were meet with total silence from me for weeks on end. I know it is hard but sometimes, you have to stand up for yourself. Even if that means hurting those you love.
