sometimes I'll have a dream that I can fly or float. It's really cool!

The first one I can remember was I was outside of the house, there was a very large snowbank nearby and all I had to do was catch the wind with my black trench coat and up I went. I found that I could control where I went. I could also control how high I was by opening and closing my coat a bit. The more I closed it, the lower I flew. I managed to leap over the large snowbank using the technique.

The last dream I remember having it was as if I knew how to fly all my life. I was just flying around and found myself at the bus station. I was on the ground and wondered how I was going to get down a very steep, snowy hill. I jumped and began to fly and I was able to control my decent but on the way down I began to panic slightly because I was descending too fast.

I used to have flying dreams, all the time. I still do. They're fun. :)

Whenever I lucid dream (which is, sadly, infrequently) I fly. I've even become flying creatures; dragons and seagulls mainly. Once, an albatross. I once purposefully transformed myself into a bat-like dragon; I consciously stretched my fingers and extended the webbing to form wings, as the rest of my body became scaly and reptilian; my head elongated and I grew a tail.

Tragically, I can't remember any flying dreams. I just get the kind of dreams where I fall over (obviously without actually falling over, since I'm already lying on my tummy).

Sigh. Stupid brain :(

Ooooh yeah. Ahrown-off-the-edge-of-the-earth dream, many many many swimming-thru-the-air dreams, floating-thru-the-air dreams, a getting-blasted-thru theair dream.

I have flying dreams, but I look at the ground, get scared, and then it all fades away.

I had to smile at your dream because I had one very similar - I dreamt that I was able to fly, but only as long as I held on to this fuzzy pink sweater. In the dream, the sweater had other special powers, too, enabling me to walk through walls & such. Cool dream.

Me too. I can't count the number of tornado dreams I've had, but I can't go more than a month without having one. I'm fascinated by the weather but terrified of severe storms and tornadoes. Here in the southern U.S., spring is upon us again, and there are tornado watchboxes all over the place. I'm terrified right now, but they say that the worst of it won't hit until the middle of the night, which I hate. Nothing worse than a tornado in the darkness....

I mostly only get them on the rare occasions when I realize I'm dreaming. I can simi-manipulate my dreams when I'm aware that I'm dreaming. I used to try to wake myself up, going through a few dream wake up scenes before really waking up. But then I decided I didn't really need to wake up, and if I can wish myself into my dream bedroom, why not see if I can do other stuff at will? So I flew, and so far I can't seem to think of any other activities I'd rather do in my dreams than fly, so that's what I immediately do when realize I'm dreaming. It's kind of more like float flying like in Crouching Tiger most of the time. I have to get a running start, then slowly I start lifting like a kite, get some good air before floating back down like a parachuter.

Once though, I dreamed that I had a jet pack on, and shot into the air like a rocket. Once miles in the air, I'd let myself freefall before shooting off again. It felt amazingly real, and I had no idea it was a dream.

I've had several flying dreams in which I got tangled in overhead power lines.

For some reason I've never gotten electrocuted though. It's just been a bit of a nuisance.

This morning I dreamt I was grass-sledding. A very fun dream.

I love having flying/floating dreams!

I wish I could control them, because as soon as I become aware that I'm flying and try to exert some kind control over it I always end up falling to the ground. :x Such a shame... Wouldn't be awesome if it could be done for real, though? (Well maybe not, but I'd certainly like to use it to get over my acrophobia.)

Quite elaborate ones. I remember flying over rooftops in what must have been a Victorian town (no power lines) and admiring the shingles and gables. It was beautiful...

I've been having lots of dreams of flying. I had one dream where I was in a space shuttle and was leaving earth. It felt so intense and great. I woke up real dissapointed.
