I can't be in the same room with an open can of beets. I don't know about fresh.

WOW, really? I ADORE canned beets. XD

the horror :)

If I ever need to torture you for information, I'll remember to bring beets for lunch. XD

8O That would do it. My mother fed us canned asparagus when I was young, which I thought was putrid. When I tried fresh asparagus as an adult I was amazed. Love that stuff.

Fresh asparagus is really good. I haven't had it in forever because they don't eat it here.
LOL everyone seriously hates brussel sprouts. XD I love them.

I can't stand overcooked or canned asparagus. Fresh OK but asparagus makes your urine smell terrible......Something to keep in mind if your job requires pre-employment drug screening.

It's not a vegetable but a fruit, however, I can't stand papaya.

I don't really hate it, but I avoid cauliflower. Almost all canned vegetables are vile - I go for the fresh stuff.

I also don't really care much for cucumbers. They don't have much taste.

I suppose it depends what is being done with the vegetable. 8O

I'll assume the thread is about food.

I quite enjoy pumpkin soup but can't eat pumpkin when served on a plate.

I really enjoy eating tomatoes but just the thought of tomato juice makes me want to puke :!:

I have NEVER understood my tomato dilemma

Of course tomatos are actually fruits and so of course......the thought of tomato juice actually being a fruit juice is the height of culinary revulsion for me

Yams make me gag, yuca has a bit of a metallic taste that I don't like, and black olives are gross tasting and rubbery.
