I've found that the majority of people, including NTs, don't tend to have much of a plan about what to do with their lives. I find this strange because I'm the complete opposite and see that plan as an important part of who I am.

What's your views on this?

I don't know for sure what I want to do with my life, but I do have some idea of where I'd like to be in a few years' time.

I don't have a set plan but I have a few options I'm seriously laying out a possible plan of attack for. I love to obsessively plan things but life has taught me no matter how prepared you think you are, plans are never as set in stone as you want them to be

I think most people struggle with this. I have, for a few times, known exactly what I want to do. But for the most part, I have not really known at all. Hopefully, now I am planning to do the right thing. It's the most ambitious and difficult plan I've had, but also the deepest and most suited to me.

I want to keep my life just how it is. It may not be the best, but at least I know it.

I can picture myself making a living off of my writing, and so can a lot of other people. Some people think I should be a journalist.

I also know that I'd like to do a lot of traveling, and move to New England.

I'm neurotypical and I don't have a "plan". I know what I want out of life (2 or 3 kids, a job I enjoy working at, to have a good and loving romantic relationship, good relationships with my close friends and family, be happy and healthy my entire life, to never have to worry about whether I will be able to pay my bills and retire as early as possible so I can travel and enjoy my golden years). I know what I want, but I haven't laid out a plan on how to get it. I'm fairly certain things will work out the way I wan't, or at least I hope they will. It's good to have a plan, but plans change!

I'd give anything to be a writer, but as many things...in my dreams. I'd have to have a pen name, and figure out a way to not have my parents ever find out about it.

Oh, I was going to say that in my post, too. I'm ready to give my all for my plan but I'm also prepared to change my plan if it ends up that way.

I have a few different things I'm thinking about. I love to plan and think it's important too, but I understand that some people don't know what they want to do in life. What I don't understand is when people don't know what they want and don't put an ounce of thought into it.

I'd love to be a writer, but I seem to have terrible trouble finding the motivation to make it happen in such a way that I'd get paid for it - I've had no problems writing tons of X-Men fan-fiction for the past decade or so.

I'm doing a writing course at the moment, though, so perhaps that will help in the long run...

I write too and my husband and friends tell me that I need to find an agent and do something with my "books" but right now Im just happy writing. Maybe someday I will be interested in finding an agent and maybe I wont. To me its sort of like leaving my foot print.....allowing the people that I love to see into my head and thats good enough for now.

I want to be a drummer in a Kinks tribute band. That way, I can have it my way, all the time.:)

I'd like to be a programming that also writes music. I'd like to have a small and well-organized house that doesn't require much maintaining.
