I've been listening to Eyes Wide Open quite a lot today.
I'm currently listening to Giving Me A Chance.
Just finished the song, the background music is really nice!

I listen to a lot of 70s art-rock/punk/new wave. Stuff like Lou Reed, John Cale, Patti Smith, The Modern Lovers, Roxy Music, Kate Bush, a bit of Bowie and pretty much all the UK punk bands from that era (but not the Sex Pistols).

I also listen to a lot of 50s rnb and 60s and 70s soul and funk. I'm a big fan of the big 3 London bands of the 60s - The Kinks, The Who and The Rolling Stones. I like garage rock, as well.

I also listen to a bit of jazz and classical. My music taste hasn't changed much in 10 years. I cba keeping up with new music. It's not that I'm averse to new things I don't think the past was some sort of golden era - I just sort of can't be bothered. It's laziness.

I think if I develop an interest in contemporary music, I'll probably end up listening to African pop music. I don't know, I've only heard little bits of it but I feel a bit of a phase coming along when I can afford to fund it.

There's a new thread up in Random Discussions titled "[ Poll ] What's Your Favourite Music Genre? (NEW)"

Voted rap, actually my second to third favorite genre but there was no choice for Techno. So it was either Rock, pop or rap, but I granted it to rap since it used to be my favorite music genre.

Here is a song I used to listen when i listened lots of rap:

I don't like anything as much as I like Echo & The Bunnymen. Which, at gun point, I'd be forced to call 'post-punk'.

Well, I like grilled cheese sandwich and family members more than I like EATB, but that's off-topic.

Favourite song right now:

Track in the video doesn't quite capture the live essence of it. But the only good live vid I've found of it doesn't work all the way through.

I no longer have a favorite music genre. I was a bit of a hard rock and metal fan when I was younger, but nowadays I listen to a little bit of everything. Every genre has produced a lot of garbage and a few timeless masterpieces.

I also listen to almost all genres of music. It' easier to say what I DON'T listen. I don't listen to rap, hiphop or metal music at all. I don't listen to new generic/maistream/plastic pop or rock, but old pop and rock are mostly fine and listenable. Also like jazz, classical, blues, soul, r'n'b (the old good one, not his plastic, weird new one 8| ) and old greenies.

Anyway, I rather make music (play some instrument or listen to some ready song or my own production from the jukebox in my brain) by myself than listen to it. Maybe this is somekind of Aspergers Inner World thing. I don't like outsidethings that much...
