So, all is well so far. Even if I fall from grace and abandon my quest, I will still have gained a rank or two up.

See, the trick is not to think. If I stop to think about what I'm saying, I'll realize how futile this probably is. And I don't think my already fragile psyche can take that right now.

Ooh, and maybe somebody will read what I have written and think, "Hey, that LordGin fellow sure is interesting! I should be best friends with him, maybe start a cult around him." Just throwing that out there....

Ha! My incredible charm will draw somebody in sooner or later!

I've recovered from my brief depression, filled to the brim with unwarranted confidence and optimism! Nothing will stop me: I am like the tides, sure to wear away the sands of me not having a title.

Hm. I've come to realize that this endeavor could cast me in a rather pathetic light. No matter. I've come too far to back away now. If my respectability is another casualty of this mad quest, so be it.

I wonder what the next rank is after blue jay?

I bet it's something cool, like "Raptor"!

I've actually never seen raptor before, so I find it unlikely that I will be the first. Though when my plans finally come to fruition, I could be raptor!

I actually have no interest in being raptor. Just making idle conversation. So very idle......

So, who's a fan of Lord of the Rings? (I am!) I know oh so very much about the series.

For instance, did you know that Sauron was merely a pawn of an even greater dark lord, waaaaay back in the first age?

Nasty guy, that Morgoth was. Had an odd fascination with a few pretty gems, really bad call to take them, as it turned out.

Also, to those who haven't read the books, did you know that after the hobbits came back from the quest to destroy the ring, Saruman had taken over the Shire?

Peter Jackson decided not to include "The Scouring of the Shire" because he felt this relatively minor conflict would be anti-climactic after all that ring-wrecking business.
