I hate summer, either it sucks, or I have really high sensitivity to temperature changes, I'm not really sure. Here's some ways in which I hate summer, the heat, the long daylight hours due to daylight savings time, the local pool being either closed or filled with people so there's nowhere to sit, trying to sleep every night with stifling heat even when you leave the windows open, the traffic that somehow increases in the season despite rising energy prices and traffic jams, a negative sense of aimless wandering in the sun and life until time stops and suddenly restarts with fall, houses that have thermometers saying it is 72 degrees when it feels like 85. Anyone else hate summer as well for these reasons?.

I don't like when it's hot and humid. It's very uncomfortable and tiring.

Don't you like using an air-conditioner? It makes a huge difference. I used to hate summer and choose to go to the other hemisphere whenever I could in summer. However, since I got an air-conditioner installed, I started to love summer. Knowing I could turn the air-con on any time if I need to has even enabled me to tolerate the heat. I also like it when I go out of the air-conditioned room into the heat and then back to the air-conditioned room again.

I don't like having to walk in the sun and worry about getting sunburned. I also don't like day light saving. Fortunately WA has rejected it. Those stinky sweaty people on public transport in summer make me uncomfortable, too.

Besides all that had been stated above, I have a very personal reason for hating summer. I was born in the summer and everytime my birthday comes near I get depressed looking at how little things had changed from the previous year.

I also hate the crappy summer-oriented advertising, a smiling version of soft-core porn, really, and how everyone seems more cheerfull than ussual even in real life. I hate how public places are more crowded than in other times of the year, crowded with cheerfull half naked stinking idiots who came out to bask in the sun like cockroaches from under a rock.
I'm really crossing my thingers for a national tragedy or a nuclear war this year.

And there's the sun, always, always the sun. My eyes are very light and I drink a fair bit so the light almost becomes unbearable at times.

I loathe summer. For all of the reasons stated above and more. I shall add lawn mowers, fireworks, people get louder, children are out of school and the sun is out FOREVER!! !! !!

Oh winter nights you are so far away

The thing that I don't like about summer is that it's Brat Season. The kids are out of school and I have to hear it all. I have to hear youths and teens making ignorant noises as they walk past my neighbourhood. I have to hear disrespectful adolescents and parents being abusive towards their spectrum children for things that they can't help. On top of that, there are Hells Angels and Rockers recklessly riding past on their motorcycles as loudly as they can. It still beats living with my parents, though.

Summer is actually quite fun it is just very difficult to deal with the heat which I of course understand the heat can be so annoying but other than that itisa fun thing because you get to understand how wonderful it is.

I liked summer when I was a kid because I was off from school but I didn't like much else about it. I'm from Louisiana & it's very hot & humid there that time of year. We did have an AC but my parents(especially mt mom) gripped when I lowered it below 77. I don't like bright sun because I have vision issues & because I had bad skin eczema as a kid & the sun & heat made me itch more. I also have sinus allergy problem & things growing more & blooming can really bother me

Not here  , give me 30-50 degree, sunny weather any day of the week over 105-115, 100% humidity, and daily thunderstorms/occasional hurricanes. In the winter I can actually go outside, but in the summer, if you go out for even 30 minutes you start to feel like you're going to pass out. Makes me wonder how they lived here back when there was no AC (or insect repellent...)

[Pro]:
Hiking. I hope I get to hike most of this summer before I move back to the city.
Members of the household leaving on trips and leaving me home alone (unless I'm hiking.)

[Con]:
Heat.
Humidity.
Fireworks. The people in this town are so scary when it comes to fireworks.
Children. There are about twelve to fifteen young children on my street that have formed some near-hostile anarchist child-gang.
Higher social expectations.
Being ridiculed for my fear of swimming in lakes/rivers.
Accidental sunburns.

I'm sure I could go on about summer for hours.
