What's so special about 7?

7 doesn't divide into anything, it isn't useful like 5 or 3, it's too many for 'a few' but not enough for 'some', and it generally looks like it doesn't want to be there. I like 8. It's round and fluffy, and it's useful.

Yeah, I wonder why 7 is considered lucky. It's a difficult number in calculation. 3 is also an inconvenient number. I like numbers that consist only of 2('s) and 5('s).

7 is the highest single digit number that divides only by 1 and itself.
A lot of numbers divided by only 1 and itself end with 7:
7,17,37,47,67,97,107,127,137,157,167...
It looks like a scythe.
It rhymes with heaven in English.
"7th heaven" is the name of a "true paradise".
A week has 7 days.
7th day is the day of rest for God, after he finished creating the world.

BTW. 7 is my favorite number together with 4 - for me they look alike. And share similar detail - 7 looks like a scythe and 4 sounds like "death" in Japanese.
