oil spigots, when motor oil was still in cans, the spogot would open the can and funnel the oil from there.

granted I am no mechanical maven, but it is my impression that they don't use distributors as they were known back in the points and rotor days. I referred to a distributor in front of a mechanic who said "those went out with button shoes."

Not sure what you're getting at but...the turntable adapters for the wide holed seven inch (ie 45 pm) vinyl discs were not phallic shaped ( if that's what you mean by "vibrator like"). Either the turntable had a built in disc shaped thingy you could twist to come up. Or you bought an adapter thing (two kinds - one looked like a little hat that sat on the record spindle, and the other was a flat plastic thing you had to insert into the record hole. Both hard to describe, but neither was very phallic like.

I remember a 45pm that may have been a Disney record for children that was bright yellow.

Thumbs up to this.

I used the edges of dot-matrix printer paper, folded round eachother in such a way that it made a sort of a paper spring, and I would poke those toothpicks with the colored plastic on one end that they put into fancy sandwiches through the holes in the paper spring.

Can anyone even picture what I'm talking about, because I'm not sure if what I'm describing makes sense . . .

I even drew a picture of one of these paper spring with toothpick collection thingies for my drawing class and got an A + + on the assignment. :nerdy:
