Sharing the occasional selfie really isn't noticed but if it's a regular deal than yes you are in love with yourself. That's what a narcissist is.

Do I want to see that? No I do not so I don't follow people on Facebook. I go for information sites and pictures of nature that others have taken.

I guess you could say I'm that I'm not that interested in people's lives etc.

I don't personally think posting about your accomplishments or selfies automatically makes you a narcissist, but I think that a lot of people go overboard and constantly brag about their good luck and accomplishments. There definitely is a line. For me, I rarely post stuff on Facebook. I usually just use it to keep updated on things I like and news about topics that interest me.

The people I do know that are definitely narcissists tend to share multiple selfies a day and will do just about anything to get attention online. I don't follow them, because their posting constant stuff to get attention drove me nuts.

No matter how ridiculously good-looking someone might be, I'm going to get tired of seeing a constant stream of selfies...

I think FB is pretty much designed to promote cultural narcissism...the format itself encourages people to be narcissistic and to form shallow connections with other people.

The internet in general is pretty full of narcissism. I think more than anything it makes people become narcissistic about their own opinions.

I'm amazed by the people who post hours of video of themselves on Youtube just talking about their opinions on stuff. 8O

People who post videos about themselves expressing their opinions, it's called Vblogging. I prefer text than watching a video.

There's a difference between mentioning an accomplishment or posting the occasional selfie vs. your Facebook page only having that.

If you have to talk about yourself all the time, what does that really say? Are you desperate for attention?

What really makes it narcissistic is when they ONLY post about themselves...and no matter how much attention they get they NEVER reciprocate at all. The ones who will only respond to other people when they are getting attention...or maybe to criticize someone or get a subtle one-up on them...but would never give anyone else a sincere compliment or even "like" anyone else's posts. Total one-way-street interaction.

This is one thing I can say for FB...it makes those patterns blatantly obvious, in a way they aren't always obvious in real life.

Isn't that what Facebook is for? Talking about yourself and sharing about your life and your children's and it's for other people that want to know what is going on in your life. People can also post their views there too.

But anyway my Facebook page hardly ever gets anything new posted on it by me because I have no idea how I am supposed to act on there because everyone has their own standards about how others should act on it. I just read my news feed and that's it and look in some groups I am in. My original purpose of Facebook was for my family so they could see photos of my kids if they want or know what is going on in my life and what accomplishments my kids do. Now it's pretty much no updates on any of that. Too many rules about how to act on there I can't keep up. Sometimes I wished I didn't care what others thought or otherwise I would be more active but then I don't want that label of "narcissist." I can understand why some would close their Facebook account and not use it. Then there are people who remove you as a friend because you don't post enough or talk enough on there. You can't win.

I like Facebook (no pun intended)
For me it's fun to see what old classmates, colleaguesand clients have been up to.
Although my timeline became full with vaporwave and Cinema 4D art pages and I wonder if my friends think I'm strange for constantly liking those pics or even worse; use the sad face reaction even though I'm not sad at all, I just use it to mess with them lol
I don't think anyone ever notices (or cares about) my likes.

I barely post any statuses, only if it's something really interesting or hilarious.

I'm also very good at going off topic and talking about myself :^)
