So, last night, in my dream, I was in the freaking Hunger Games... It was a very beachy place, like Katniss's Quarter Quell was, and I was the girl from Dist. 8. Two of the other tributes were my cousins, and all the rest were the people who were mean to me at school. So, as soon as the announcer said "Let the Games begin!" I ran in the other direction when everyone else was getting suplies from the cornucopia, and then out of nowhere, I was met with a bunch of wild animals as I got into the jungle, a wolf, elephant, two sabertooth tigers, and a bunny rabit. The wolf looked like my dog... if she was a wolf, and the two sabertoothed tigers... looked like my two kitties, (one of them was even missing the tail like Zoey does, and the other one was gray and white like Daisy! But sabertoothed tigers in a jungle? Weren't they from the ice age??) The elephant was just a baby, and the bunny had pink and white stripes in her fur... the animals could all talk, and they insisted that I just kicked back and did nothing, so they left me with a gameboy with a bunch of friut rollups and a gameboy with Tetris in it in case I got bored, because they knew I could never hurt anybody, so they went to do their thing, and the pink bunny kept comming back to check up on me, until I was the only one left, and then I got to dress up all pretty in pink, and then everybody was amazed with how I won, and then I got to keep all the animals as pets. :?

I had a peculiar dream about Jane Eyre. My old childhood house stood in for the manor, but up in the attic [which doesn't exist in the actual house] there were the remains of Bertha's confinement [rope and strips of cloth], and it was quite dark. Outside, however, was a bright and sunny summer's day. The weirdest part was that there were two versions of Jane and Mr. Rochester: the book versions and the movie versions, and they all seemed to be living together. Then, in a scene that could have been straight out of the Thursday Next books, movie Jane got accidentally kidnapped by these bizarre people who kidnapped famous book people and held them for ransom. They swooped out of the sky in their flying helicopter-book contraption and carried movie Jane away, but then they brought her back once they realized she was the wrong one [the book version sensibly stayed inside throughout that]. Both Janes were wearing what looked like fancy white wedding dresses. Do you have any idea what any of this craziness could mean, auntblabby?

Kuraudo, i'm not familiar with that literary genre so i can only look at some prominent symbols in your dream-
Attic
To see an attic in your dream represents hidden memories or repressed thoughts that are being revealed. It also symbolizes your mind, spirituality, and your connection to the higher Self. Alternatively, it signifies difficulties in your life that may hinder you from attaining your goals and aspirations. However, after a long period of struggle, you will overcome these difficulties.
Helicopter
To see a helicopter in your dream represents your ambitions and achievements. You are in full pursuit of your goals. To dream that you are chased or stalked by a helicopter indicates that you are feeling trapped by your aspirations. You feel you are pursuing others people's goals instead of your own.
Wedding Dress
To wear a wedding dress in your dream indicates that you are evaluating and assessing your personal relationship. If you or someone is wearing a wedding dress in an inappropriate situation, then it suggests that you are feeling inferior or unworthy.
Kidnap
To dream that you are being kidnapped denotes feelings of being trapped and restricted. Someone or some situation may be diverting your concentration and your attention away from your goals. To dream that someone has been kidnapped indicates that you are not letting aspects and characteristics of that person to be expressed within you. You are trying to contain and/or suppress the qualities of the kidnapped person.

more isolated symbols that evaporated upon waking. but the frustrating thing was that there was a real hard meaning that is just beneath my awareness.

I dreamt I was driving in some strange town I don't recall being in, the weather was dark and light at the same time, like somebody took a mostly cloudy day and turned down the brightness a notch or two. i was in an early 2000s model mercury sable, and for some reason I did a 180 and reversed course and went in the opposite direction after a while of driving into town. or was it out of town?

^Thank you so much! That dream makes much more sense. My latest dream involved [ironically enough] Thursday Next herself. In the titular series, Thursday wanders though the Book-World having crazy adventures or running away from nasty government people [the series is part literary, part satire, part lunacy, and part fourth wall demolishing]. In my dream, Thursday [in her regular clothes and brown ponytail] was meandering around what seemed to be a hotel of some sort, warping here and there as she attempted to evade serious-looking people in business suits who seemed to want to recruit her or something. They never tried to harm her, or even talk to her, but they persistently followed her around no matter where she tried to hide. I wonder if this all comes from my suppressed feelings about university and following my own way of doing things instead of submitting to how other people want me to be? :study:

live long enough, and just like me, you might get your wish.

Thank you. :) But it is doubtful that I will live for more than another decade. :?

I don't really know, it's just kind of a feeling I have. I'm honestly lucky to have even made it this far in life.

My most recent weird dream was sexual in nature, and that's weird because I usually don't ever have dreams like that. Maybe 2-3 in my whole lifetime so far. :?

I had a dream that I was back at my old house in the fall, so the leaves were all red and orange and brown, and the sun was hazy, like just before a sunset. There was a family of what seemed like Cheetah kittens living under the gigantic oak tree in the backyard, and I would play with them and give them food, and while the mummy cat sometimes growled at me if I got too close, it was more like 'you've done your job, so shoo.' Then I found two identical Cheetah-like kittens on the other side of the tree, and when I picked them up, they started purring [can Cheetahs purr???] Then I was suddenly on the hill overlooking the tree, and it seemed to be high spring; the sun was warm and bright, and the flowers [particularly the daffodils] were in full bloom. There was someone with me, but I'm not sure who it was. Then the feline family choose the large tree-ish bush on the other hill to live in, and the kittens enjoyed playing on it.

Any ideas about what this could all mean, auntblabby?

It means that you like kitty-cats and were dreaming a pleasant dream! :D (Yeah, that's not a very deep interpretation.. )

But yup, cheetahs can purr.
