I got some sleep, despite the NYE fireworks of pre-midnight.

Finding a tiny yellow flower in bloom while I was out walking.

So, silly me but I spent $75+ shipping on a hard-to-find paperback book that I've always wanted.
It was my retirement gift to self.

The other day I noticed the top of the book is all waterlogged.
I don't think it was like that when I received it, but I'm not sure.
I don't know how else it would have happened?

I emailed the vendor, an American book shop, to ask if I could exchange it for another copy.
I said it was water damaged but didn't say if it happened on delivery or not.

They wrote back and said I can have a full refund and keep the book.
Apparently I'm a good little customer of theirs so they just wished me happy new year.

Now I have to decide if I'll buy another copy from them or elsewhere.
Maybe I should just keep mine, along with the refund.

I put up the glow-in-the-dark planets that I got onto my ceiling. Tomorrow I might put up the stars that I got.

Not going to a movie theater to see a movie, even though I may do so tomorrow or Friday.
