Ill-spent is an understatement

I wish I had a tail.

I watched something a few months ago explaining why apes (including us) don't have tails, and also that the mutation that made us lose our tails also causes spina bifida to be more common in apes (including us).

The mice on the right have been engineered to have the same genetic mutation as apes have. Lo and behold, Manx mice! They have no tails! They are bereft of caudal appendages!

This of course begs two questions: 1) We can haz tail now? and 2) What problems would result from undoing the tailless mutation in humans.

I read the other day that in some countries like Iceland and Germany unisex names are illegal. Parents are only allowed to give their babies gender-specific names, and a person with a unisex name may be bullied or abused.

I read that the name "Robin" is more popular as a girl's name than a boy's in the US, but then there was Robin Williams.

If you don't want your daughter to be called "Sam", don't name her "Samantha". :)

When I was younger I once watched a kid's show that showed people from the future (The early 21st century), where all names were now gender-neutral no matter what. There was a girl named Leonard and she had an adult male android butler named Debbie. The one thing that turned out to be accurate to the future was having digital books.

I like the idea of living in a mini car.

I can't get over how much smaller they are than even a first-gen Civic.

That's like... smaller than an Isetta. I thought you meant a Mini car, but apparently you meant a minicar.

I've had a couple of Minis when I was younger. Great fun to drive. I'm 6'1 though so every time i went over a speed bump I'd hit my head on the roof. I slept in mine once. That was no fun at all. Living in one would be awful.

I don't see how it's fun to drive a tiny car. My parents' car is designed for tall people and I still don't feel totally safe driving it. My aunt's car is average size and I can barely fit in it. (I'm 193cm tall)
